Hey man, just following up on the note I left on your car about the Honda Accord that hit your car in the Serramonte parking lot. The damage didn't look that bad, but it was a pretty significant hit for a parking lot, so I'm happy to be a witness for your insurance since that asshead didn't leave a note (at least while I was around). I was actually admiring your car when it happened (nice ride, by the way). Anyway, the guy's license number and my cell number were on the note, so contact me if you need anything.

Andrew

So good news,

Colma Police contacted the person that hit me and he met with me at the police dept, I basically gave him his options and he agreed to pay for the damages wihtout insurance while I provide 3 estimates from 3 different bodyshops. I'm a rather reasonable guy but i think he wouldnt have informed me if the PD didnt call him and if (pillowball) didnt leave the note. Once again I do appreciate the awareness and if you ever need anything from cingular I'll take care of you.

No problem, man, glad things have worked out. Keep up the good work on the car because if it didn't look like it did, I wouldn't have been checking it out when he hit you

+1 for Pillowball; way to go Andrew!

EJ2.5RS: I got my WRX fixed last year at Baron Von Frier (bvf.com) in Berkeley last year and they're really expensive but made the car look awesome. Since the guy is paying cash, you should get the most expensive estimates you can find, and make this guy really pay for his mistake. Also, you should press charges against this guy; it's degenerates like this that should seriously be held accountable for their actions. You should be very thankful that you were miraculously assisted in this matter; otherwise, this would be coming out of your pocket.

yeah, hit and run drivers SUCK. My brother's bike was backed into while parked, and the lady got out, looked at the bike on the ground, then got back in her car and DROVE OFF. This was in FRONT of a school and church. Lucky for him, there were 3 witnesses that left him a note with the plate. We went to the police department, they contacted her, she paid through the teeth for repairs (3 pieces of fairing replaced, new gas tank, engine cover, mirror, clipons, rearset, footpegs), and the shop threw in a free leather suit for my bro because of the almost 5K in damages they had to repair.

MAKE HIM PAY. Get the most expensive estimates and MAKE HIM PAY. That dirtbag deserves every bit of it.

I kind of agree on the making him pay part, then you can remind him to not hit and run because it will end up costing him more then it would have if he just manned up to it, also if you really wanted to screw him more... Make sure you go through insurance HAHA

+1 for going through insurance. If this guy balks at paying at some point down the line, and then you call your insurance, they could screw you over for not getting them involved in the first place. That's how I understand it to work, I may be wrong.
