Right now I am just taking 2 generic (kirkland) benadryl a night. Doesn't send me to sleep but I don't want to start taking 3.
Any one of the things people mentioned before could work for you, it just depends what is CAUSING your lack of sleep. That's why I would recommend finding that out and possibly going to a doctor. I finally found out what what causing my lack of sleep, and although it won't go away for a while, i know what I can do to feel better.
The best advice for sleeping sounds reduntant. Exercise and peace of mind will allow you to sleep like a baby

I know I'm only 24, but I am not trying to get in a "mine is bigger than yours" battle here (job that is). But really, if you are working that much - somethings wrong.

Trouble sleeping? Turn on the Speed Channel. There's gotta be a NASCAR race on somewhere in the country.

WOW, those were some f'd up suggestions.
Drugs are the last thing you should resort to resolve sleeping problems... Prescribed or not.
Diet
Exericise. Exercise. Exercise...
If I'm not sleeping, I need to exercise more.
No drugs...(includes ciggy's)
Good idea to keep the Bedroom for sleeping only. No tv, work, eating etc.etc.
Oh yeah, as bushido said, self release b4 bed is a proven sleepy addition.

And finally, a serious discussion on this topic...
A couple years back I was diagnosed with a condition that effects about 1 in 4 people. Its actually a neurological cause, but the effects are something simular to what folks on here are describing and then some... Diffuculty falling asleep, vivid dreams, and a few other things non related to sleeping problems (I actually had some gastrological problems, which is where I found out about this... Aparently it causes you to be extra sensitive to your stomach as well)
It is actually a result of neurons being overactive, or something of that reguard. It explains why some people just cant get to sleep fast, its not not really a bad thing either, just sometimes the side effects can effect other things (like my stomach like I mentioned) but its not really a disease, and is actually genetic. Disparamine is what I take when I have any gastrological symptoms, and also helps with sleep. You can read more about it here (Its not JUST for depression) http://www.medicinenet.com/desipramine/article.htm
