do you have any evidence to proove this or is it just opinion based on a dislike of interstate. Just because they bought it doesn't mean they manufacture it.

Also on that note....any ideas for an alternative.

I have no hard(to post) proof but like i said i do know people that work at pepboys, kragens and autozone that say since interstate bought optima the return rate went from hardly ever to 2-4 a week so im pretty sure the manufacture has changed. alternative ray would be bosch, great stuff.

well i charged it at 10 amp for about 1.5 hours and i guess it was fully charged because my charger kept on cycling from "full charge" and back to charging. Dropped it in, car started immediately after i turned the key. Now i just gotta fix my stupid left HID as i probably yanked a wire or something

what kind of charger did you use? you cant use a normal battery charger, it has to be a deep cell or dry cell charger (i cant remember) but if you use a normal charger it will sometimes die not to long after the charge and also lowers the batteries life span.

Where do you guys come up with this stuff?

This is from one of the largest Optima dealers in the country's website:

"What kind of charger do I need for an Optima?

Can OPTIMA batteries be charged with a solar charger or trickle charger?

Optima batteries do not require any special type of charger.

If your Optima battery will sit unused for extended periods of time, a maintenance charger can be used to keep it fully charged. (Sitting for extended periods in a discharged state will degrade the performance and shorten the life of any battery.)

You can monitor the voltage state of your batteries during or after use by installing a volt meter available at any auto or marine parts supply house. "
