I think I'm just gonna get the assignment finished up on Friday and then submit it on Sunday when I get home before midnight. My plan was to come up Friday, board Saturday and come home Sunday morning (can't afford 2 days atm). I really wish I could board on Sunday though! Maybe I should just use the good ol' Judd Bales season pass, jk.. (I still have it though) haha.

so why dont you/we go Sunday? That would be cool since i could work Saturday 12-5.

And Vic and JRsWRX wants to go Sunday too. (leave Sat sometime)

If you have til midnight to submit your assignment...we will be done boarding at 6? that leaves you 6 hours safe time, if bear wifi doesnt work, you will have time to drive to the next town or even home if you have to.

I'm picking up Justin @200.
Kyle moved fr 'Maybe' list. *edit*This may change.*edit*
Li'l Jeff, Neil & Kyle returning Sun a.m. *edit*This may change.*edit*
Eli added to 'Unknown status'. See Post #79.

I wasn't sure whether to add Vic to the 'Maybe' list or not since Ray hasn't chimed in on that yet. I'm guessing he's welcome since Ray has said this has always been an open invite, but I didn't want to step on toes... ya know?

For the food & bev list, I highlighted what still needs to be "claimed" and added some comments & questions.

Anyone else think that Ray & Jordan shouldn't have to be responsible to bring much grubb since they've been so generous w/ the place to crash? I think it's normally accepted like that for the BIG trips anyway, right? They usually contribute their part in the Brew dept.

- - - - - - -

RAY: Seems like you & El Jefe can roll up together just catching the tail end of Friday's traffic. So it looks that at some point in this adventure, there will 8 'Fo Sho' w/ the possibility of a couple more. I recall there are enuff beds & couch space for 9 along w/ tons of floor space. Since I've always crashed on the upstairs sectional w/ the quilt thing-a-ma-bob, do folks need to bring sleeping bags or anything? I know y'all got plenty of towels, but did ya need any of us to bring our own?

Seems like you, John(JRsWRX) & Vic could roll up on Sat evening after your shift.

Vic: off @ 100.
John: dentist appt sometime during the early part of the day
you: off @ 500... or according to your questionable military time math, 1700 divided by 2 somehow equates to 8:30? *runs & hides*

There are some sleeping bags up there. But just in case, I would bring your own. I'm planning on bringing my own pillow and sleeping bag. I just don't know how many there are. hahaha I believe there are plenty of towels for those that just have to shower. I figure some deodorant should be enough for the average person that doesn't stink too much.

Sounds like justin and cliff will be the first up. I'll give justin the code to the lock box.

I'll probably leave work at 2 or so. Then I am gonna bust it out to watsonville. Visit my grandpa in the hospital then bust out.

So I'll be about 3 hours behind most of you. If jeff is still around I'll cruise with him up the hill. Meet everyone at the brewery for dinner. Unless you want to do grub at the house then do brewery sunday on the way out.

Breakfast sat/sun at the house. Lunch made at the house for sat/sun. Dinner at the house Sat.

Bill shouldn't be that outrageous.

As for how often we do it... do this once a year. But usually at least 4-5 weekends a year we have 2 or 3 of us up there. I'm up there 10-15 weekends a year. Plus summer golf trips. Do free 4sums at Swoods in arnold. Free steakage too.

Do I need to pick anything up? I'll kick down but it sounds like we're pretty covered.

Was thinking I could get like 5 pounds of bacon or so at the buchers... we need more than that? Plus some skirt steak to add to justin's and jeffs chicken? Like...maybe 10 pounds?

Fill me in guys.

Depending on what night we are cooking we might need more meat. I tried to hook it up at costco with the Farmer John's butcher bacon. Those big 2 packs, no dice though. They were all out.

Ray, think you'll be in the SJ area by 4-ish? Hopefully you & El Jefe can roll together. Otherwise, we'll have a grip o' cars up there, eh?

Since me & Timberlake are gonna be there so early, I don't mind prepping our din-din! It may only be 4 of us the first nite, pending what Jeff, Neil & Kyle decide. Even if it they make it in on Fri, "homemade" grubbin' should be no problema. I'm thinking Justin's skirt steak and some baked p'taters! I'm still thinking of seafood if y'all are down... maybe some kabobs!

As far as how much food is gonna be enuff, I'd say we only need enuff for what 6 of us would eat for the ENTIRE trip. Why 6 only? Cuz you, El Jefe, Justin & me are the only beginning-to-end savages. Jordan's coming up on Sat afternoon. And Li'l Jefe, Neil & Kyle are really only staying one day as well.

So we may have to re-evaluate our list. If there's anything that y'all have said you'd bring, but haven't bought yet -and- think might be overkill... let us know if we need to chop it. I cut the Stella out since with Li'l Jeff case o' suds, we're SOLID on the brew front. And I'll probably only get 1 case of H20 & ixnay the kettle corn as well.

But I have to agree w/ Justin and say "Hellz Yeah!" to, at least, the bacon ya offered to grab. We'll have one of the other guys bring their choice of carne.

Kinda sucks not knowing when the 3 fellerz will be up there. If they're arriving Fri, I figure they should grab the remaining stuff on the list. If not til Sat evening, I guess I'll head to Justin's by 100. Then we'll shop for the rest, so we have our breakfast & lunch stuff for Sat.

Finally, I dunno if ya caught Vic's post about getting in on this trip w/ a Sat arrival. Also, looks like John is still a solid Maybe for coming Sat.

Oh, I forgot to mention that I confirmed our order of the Pony Keg of Thompson to be ready for pick-up! Yeehaw!:RockOn - not mine:

Basically we need to plan on the confirmed guys on confirmed night.

Guys coming up last minute will have to hit the store on their way up... so call.

I'll get bacon.

On the meat front we have chicken and a couple pounds of skirt so I'll pick up a couple more pounds of skirt too.

That sounds good. Ray, I wouldn't pick up more than about 5 pounds. I got about 4, and then with Jeff's chicken, 5 more pounds would be plenty.

So really we are just gonna need one of those big *** bags of salad and then deal with the dressing front. I like Ranch, so that's probably what I'll get. So I'll grab the salad and some Ranch dressing tonight at the store.
