It's already 3.29 on Blossom hill.

I heard that it's going to hit 4.00 in the bay area by this weekend.

I can't afford to go to work w/ these prices!

I thought I found one of the cheapest station in LA, was $2.91 last night for Shell 91 octane. So I rush back tonight to fill it up.. now it's $3.01 within 12 hrs.

Pumped my '05 Saab 92x today on 91 octane, avearged around 19 mpg. Sucked.
Pumped my '04 4runner last night on 87, average 20 mpg. How does that work!?
Pumped my '98 Camry yesterday morning on 87. average 30 mpg. Full tank I can get 470 miles.

So the point is... drive your mom's car... will get you the best gas mileage. Because it's pathetic trying to go fast on a camry.

And I think I need to sleep @ work now. I don't think I make enough to pay for the gas to go to work

My 2.5RS uses crap gas. I average about 320-330 a tank. I guess I'm better off than some of you guys? That reminds me, I have to fill up soon. I think I'll do that in a bit.

2 days of hurricane! We're talking about a ****ing oil rig that has to stand up to TRILLIONS of gallons of water moving around it. Can you image the force/weight those things are made to withstand. It's a load of bull****, and we getting the short end of the deal. It's an excuse, that's ALL that this is.

I saw on the news that more then 20 oil rigs are missing or plain destroyed in the region, that's pretty bad considering...

Actually it's not ALL excuses. The wreckage that Katrina did to the oil rigs and what not contributes to 35%, that's right, more than a quarter of our daily gas consumption....

Yeah OK so I'll agree that what happened this last 4 days is going to have a dramatic impact on availability, the distribution and delivery cycle takes weeks.
so I'd expect an increase come the middle of September- but the oil companies are all reporting record profits and they are jacking the prices now and have been for the last few months,

This is just a case of sheer profiteering, and while we are at "war" profiteering is supposed to be a treasonous offence.

Chevron across from my house was 3.09 this morning for 87... Only 2.93 at the corner store

Bad thing is that the last time I filled up my Tahoe I paid 2.59.. I have a little over a quarter left... Can't wait for the $70 fillup
