Don't most receipts have a person's name and car's info on it? How would you use that for another car?

lemme take a guess......

yer engine has some major problems, you took your car to the dealership expecting it to be covered under warranty.....dealer says it looks like the problem was caused from neglect (not changing the oil regularily) and denies warranty claim, unless you can provide reciepts proving you did change the oil in a timely, regular fashion.

how close am I?

btw, I'm sorry I cant help you, I change my own oil....therefore, I have no oil change reciepts.

mmmm i smell scamory I do the same tho...i buy my filters over at Green Valley Ford/Mazda/Subaru/Suzuki since the parts guy hooks me up and I'm a regular there..I do my own oil changes as well since you cant trust anyone today ESPECIALLY those quick lube walmart joints (i cant believe my parents trust them lol) but just keep your reciepts for the filters/oil at least. If you don't pull through I'm sorry bro

ouch! I am very sorry to hear that....just a question though....shouldn't Ron Price, have record of your past purchases? I know some places can look up your "account" and see everything you've purchased in the past few months....if so, they should be able to reprint them for you. Its worth a shot to ask, you may get lucky. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you either way.

this is why I keep all papers I get from the dealership, I have changed my oil once since I got my car, all other times performed by Subaru Santa Cruz since they do it for free, saves me 45 minutes, and $13 in oil, plus disposing of the old oil and filter.
