oh the good ol days of cheap gas...
...just a year ago.
i've been keeping track of my gas bill and mileage since i got my wrx just a year ago (happy 1st b-day).
anyways, 2 weeks after i got it (dec 28, 2001), i went on my usual trip to vegas for CES. one thing i notice from last year was around january 2002, premium unleaded was around $1.33'ish.
in fact, one stop in bakersfield, the 91 gas was $1.11!!!
then in march, it shot up to around $1.65'ish. it has been around that price. lately, it has bumped up a dime to over $1.70'ish...
damn...

Gas prices in the US are just about the cheapest in the world, and relative to inflation, it's cheaper here than it was almost 35 years ago. Back when it was $.80 a gallon, most folks had less than that to spend for it- and their cars used twice as much gas.
