Solid pitching from Ross. His future is looking bright for the A's as i'm sure he's going to be a mainstay in the rotation since Braden is out for the rest of the year. Great pitching and live bats. Gotta love it. Go A's!

Yup... Ross was one pitch away from a shutout. That homerun screwed everything up.

It's sucks to see he didn't acknowledge the fans that were giving him a standing ovation though. He'll learn.

Flashes of greatness from the A's last night.

14 runs in 15 hits... what????

Gio was completely lights out in his first game since that diaster in Texas.

Ellis is finally starting to produce some quality at bats too which is great to see.

A's are in the driver's seat for the time being. Don't crash the car into a light pole.

I'm thinking we should start playing in the rain :P lol Bats are finally coming alive. Let's hope this trend continues. Gio was suburb, i'm sure he was pissed about his last outing and I'm glad it didn't snowball for him. He's definitely maturing as a player. I'm interested to see how he handle the game without Braden being there... It's been highly documented how Braden is his mentor, but tonight showed he can bounce back well without braden being there! And Mark Ellis is on fire this series!

And just like that, Ross has a mystery injury and the A's give up 11 runs for each run that they scored.

Some dirty laundry gets hung out. Im not a big fan of Fuentes and publicly calling out his own coach doesn't help. Whether it's true or not, it doesn't help your team by airing it out in public.

Brian Fuentes Rips Bob Geren: A's Relief Pitcher Criticizes Manager

One day after Cincinnati Reds pitcher Edinson Volquez called out his teammates and New York Mets owner Fred Wilpon ripped his own players, Oakland A's relief pitcher Brian Fuentes decided to criticize his own manager.
After the A's lost their sixth straight game on Monday and Fuentes earned his fourth loss in as many appearances, the lefty criticized manager Bob Geren's "unorthodox managing." The former Angels closer said that he has "zero" communication with his skipper.
"There's just no communication. Two games on the road, bring the closer in a tied game, with no previous discussions of doing so. And then, tonight, in the seventh inning, I get up. I haven't stretched, I haven't prepared myself," he explained. "If there was some communication beforehand I would be ready to come into the game -- which I was, when I came into the game, I was ready. Just lack of communication. I don't think anybody really knows which direction he's headed."
Fuentes has an ERA of 5.06 and already has a career-high seven losses. The 35-year-old hasn't had a save opportunity since May 8.
Monday's loss to the Angels marked the fourth straight tie-game situation for Fuentes

Went to the game last night. Had a blast! A's bats came alive. It seems like Ryan Sweeney was in the middle of every rally. We need to get him in the line up... some how! Took pics and they'll be up soon. Here's a quick link!

Cool shots!

Geo's pitching had some big ups and downs but he got his job done. Time to climb out of this losing skid they've been on.

A's win another one! Woot. Glad to see Josh Outman back up in the majors after being out for 2 years with Tommy John surgery!

Not only that, but Ellis knocked a homer.

He didn't even know it went out till he was half way to second base

A's complete the sweep!!! The refs totally blew the call at third, but the A's didn't let it get to them and pulled out the win!

swept by the yankees. Although i'm not expecting much from the Yankees i still thought the A's should have one at least 1. This next 10 day road trip is going to be tough and I think it's crunch time now.

here are pics from todays game.

not that anyone cares about the A's anymore... but,

Ellis on the DL. Weeks called up...
Anderson likely on the DL and looks like out for the season with Tommy John surgery... sweet!
