Just a thought... does anyone really care if there is a DJ there or not? Nobody is ever dancing. If anything, people always just seem to complain that it's too loud. Would things not be easier and cheaper if we just forgo the DJ? Hook up an ipod and some speakers, call it a day?

I've thought the same thing about years past. The DJ is mostly to provide background noise for those who aren't talking at that moment. Fill in the silence. But I don't feel it's absolutely necessary to have a DJ. Maybe cause I'm getting old.

I am perfectly o.k. with that. All we really need is a PA for announcements and a steady flow of music going. Nothing crazy.

I am fine with no DJ too. Its nice but not necessary. Just throw a wide verity of music on an I-pod and let it play.

Don't really check the boards as often as I used to, but good to know people are stepping up and making it happen.

Not sure if I'll be in attendance due to work schedule. Would love to join, but it's still tentative.

If anyone has computer speakers (good loud ones), we can just hook an ipod up to it like we have past years and it works like a charm. Best part is that it's free.
