thanks to everyone that made the event happen! great weather! the food I felt went very well, it was also nice to meet some new people and talk to the same good old guys I have came so close to over the years!

I think if I showed up with ANYTHING from GST mike would have slapped me. LOL.
For reals... I have terrible luck. I put $90 in for the raffle.. took 40 tickets and won a hat and a t-shirt that didn't fit. LOL! Oh well.
I'm really glad to see folks had fun with the raffle. Hopefully we can step it up again bigger next year and people actually buy more raffle tickets. I figured we sell 500 more than we did at least.
Mike told me to make out some certificates.... so I did.

Since I couldn't get a hold of anyone up there, I called the kiosk to see if they ask y'all if we needed more water or anything. Sounds like the kiosk lady I spoke w/ on the phone used my own description of myself when I told her who I was. I jokingly told her that I was one of the red shirt guys "with the long, beautiful hair." Plus, I had talked w/ her & the ranger on the way in that morning about helping to expedite parking payment (They say no worries.). Then on the way out, I stopped to ask them if it was OK to re-enter w/ the the fee I paid earlier. So of course she remembered since I chatted w/ 'em a few times.
Or do y'all think it was cuz I asked if I could go in and out all the while doing the universal mating gesture? Ya know the ol' OK sign w/ one hand as the other index finger pokes the opening.
That's just wrong on so many levels.

Just as a general update to what's a happening on my end...
1. I will post up a thank you list of my own.
2. I will post up a wrap up thread that I will leave open for input for next years event
3. I will be beginning planning of next years event in January with a crew.
4. I started going through the funds. Numbers to come.
