Whoa... That's right. I didn't notice that.

I knew that Lewis/Mercedes is doing well and that McLaren is having a poor season so far. But I didn't realize that it was to that extent.

At the Malaysian GP, all the winners on the podium were former McLaren drivers

I get into huge debates with my friends about Perez in a McLaren. Not that Perez isn't talented but I feel he's still too green to be on that kind of a team where the drivers input and testing mean so much to the development of the car. I am looking forward to next year for Perez and seeing Telmex on the side of the McLaren

Telmex sponsors the Sabuer team right now right? I know they sponsor the 01 DP car with Rojas and Pruett

Yes currently.

McLaren's deal with Vodafone (Verizon for us) will end this year leaving an opportunity for a new sponsorship to arise.

Again this is all guess work. Perez brought Telmex to Sauber but also at the same time it brought in Gutierrez.

TelMex is a sponsor of Mexican drivers and quite honestly being a sponsor of McLaren will only increase their image even if McLaren is off the pace this year.

Escudería Telmex

Don't think McLaren had much choices of drivers with Hamilton leaving. It was either Perez or Hulk. Of course, there was also Trulli, maybe another shot with Heikki, PDR, Glock, Sutil...

Suitil would have been a good pick imo. He re-signed with FI on the last test day.

Agreed. Sutil is one of the fastest drivers out there and got terrible luck these last two races.
