Interesting, mandating different tires for race and qualifying. They didn't do that last year, did they?

It will bring about interesting strategy for sure. I think we will see more cars setting times on the prime tire in Q2 since that would be the tire they start the race on and could save them a pitstop if they're trying for a 1 stop race.
If they qualify on the option tire, they would need to take 2 stops and run all three compounds during the race.
