Lotus isn't using Renault engines anymore. They must be pretty mad at RedBull to not pursue Toro Rosso.

Is the Caterham team totally dissolved? Could Renault buy their ticket?

^ Helmut Marko decided not to sell Toro Rosso, probably because Renault wouldn't pay him enough.

Rosberg looks to be lacking the fight he had last year.

Its also very evident that Mercedes is still up on power to everyone else. Its unusual to find high trap cars and high lap time cars one and the same, yet, Lewis seemed to be quick in both.

I think we will find that wins will be track specific. So long as the track isn't too hard on rubber, too twisty or the weather too hot: you'll find Mercedes winning.

I think it's true that the Ferrari is better on its tires, but it lacks the power and probably isn't has good on aero either, but that's always hard to tell.

I think you're right too. Now, if only McLaren Honda and Red Bull could get everything working as well...

Merc is definitely up on power. But it's clear that the car still lacks performance even if they are still sandbagging.

I think they've been sandbagging. Williams have been pretty close. But Ferrari has found more pace and has caused Mercedes to turn up the wick a bit. Williams was way behind Ferrari.

I wonder what Hamilton was doing during the middle stint though... Causing Rosberg and Vettel to back up behind him.

He was making sure Nico would have to put up with Vettel's pressure. It's good tactic, and it worked great for Lewis.

I feel Rosberg just isn't as sharp this year, and until something changes, we are going to see a lot of lewis upfront.

I agree that something is off with Rosberg. At one point, they were talking about his record since the radio rule changes. It seems like Rosberg really relied on a lot of help from the pit wall.

It's kinda weird. You can see him getting pissed and frustrated. But he's clearly not on point like he used to be.

I think China should count. He did retire due to contact.
