Really stepped up in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and it seems to be working out for me. Started at 265lbs a month ago, now 250lbs. Seeing more muscle definition in my thighs and arms. Not really doing any other workout, just walking everywhere. Cut complex carbs and red meat out of my diet. No soda, just water/milk at hom, and unsweetened ice tea at the Peet's next door to work.

HIIT is pretty awesome. Interval training, is running with sprints in between, incriments like 1minute hardest sprint, 2 minute slow run, faster than jogging, and rinse and repeat a few times.

Dirty bulk, depends on genes. If you want to see maximum amount of gains without hindering yourself, eat right (poultry, veggies, good carbs, dairy). Should be pretty buff =P.

Anyone over 200lbs (with a natural body) (not talking like 5'7 220, football running backs) can lose weight on diet alone. Probably get to around 180ish for anyone over 6 feet.

On my last week, pretty noticable differences. I'm going to take a month after this to work on my pullups, I'm 5'7 150lbs, probably going to try and cut down to 140 on the next round for the summer. (still want those abs to pop out).

As for energy, I just started to use Jack3d and it's pretty insane! The stuff works great, it's 99% pure, 1 scoop is the size of a sugar cube. Compared to NOxplode's regular sized scoop. NOxplode has a bunch of fillers in it. It's only 23% pure, so there is a lot of junk like sugar and stuff in there.

If anyone was lookin' for THE stuff to get you goin for a workout, it's Jack3d. (just don't take it after 5pm) you won't get good sleep.

And remember, your body is made in the kitchen, not at the gym.

Finished p90x. Went from 170 to 150. I could probably get leaner and do another round or two, but I'm tryin' to figure out whether to lose that weight doing Insanity (another beach body program) or not. Insanity is definitely the toughest thing out there on Dvd.

Insanity is supposed to be very cardio intensive, so I would think that will get you closer to your weight loss goal.

I've still got 2 weeks left on P90X (went from 203 to 188 so far). I can't wait for it to be over so I can replace the cardio days with some hiking/biking. It's too nice outside to workout indoors every day now.

P90X is finally over!!!!!!!

Gonna start my own hybrid schedule of P90X dvds and hiking/biking. For anyone interested in doing P90X here were my results:

(for reference I'm 5'9" with a medium frame)

Original Power 90
Day 1: 216
Day 90: 203

P90X
Day 1: 203lbs
Day 90: 185lbs

180 days combined weight loss: 31lbs

I hit my goal weight (just barely), but I'm not gonna complain. I'm just happy I was able to lose over 30 lbs on my own diet. I plan on losing another 10lbs over the next few months.

These programs work. Anyone who keeps putting off exercising and healthy eating, drop the excuses and do it. Your body will thank you.
