This is a longshot but if anyone ever needs a job in Economics consulting, I can help. You have to have an undergrad degree in math or econ or something related, have at least a 3.5 GPA and be really nerdy. We do mostly antitrust economics and energy stuff.

Graduated with a marketing degree from SJSU last May.

2 years retail cuatomer experience 1 year of which was store management.

1/2 year successful sales experience in ecommerce (very fast sales cycles)

Exprience w/ customer service, Netsuite CRM (similar to SalesForce), Adobe CS2-4, basic HTML, web creative, and Internet marketing (SEO and E-mail)

Looking for anything in marketing (no outside/ direct sales or d2d sales) or working admin for advertising/marketing.

No attendance issues. Excellent track record. Willing to commute reasonable distances.

Some marketing/advertising stuff @ Razorfish in SF I might still know some folks there.

I have extensive customer service and banking knowledge and experience; though I want to do something new. Preferably something active, not a desk job which allows me to cruise reddit and iclub all day.

Graduated Sac State with a B.A. in Psychology.

Work as a substitute for the past 2 years. Intensely 1 on 1 and as an instructional assistant and also as a substitute teacher in regular ed, special ed., autistic , special handling, and 1 on 1.

Also great with customers and have worked previously in retail for 4 years. In addition, worked on machinery with big banks (BofA)

Job Description
Rodeo Refinery -- Operator Trainee (Entry Level) - 00B3P


Operators work rotating shifts in various units within the refinery which process or produce crude oil, petroleum coke, fuel oil, intermediates, gasoline, diesel, steam, electricity and other products. Some of the processes involved use hazardous and volatile materials under high temperature and pressure. Operators are exposed to various work conditions including outside weather and elements, blowing air, heat, noise, vibration and occasionally working from heights and confined spaces. Operators must follow safe work practices including the wearing of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). In addition, Operators perform various duties required to keep their assigned processing unit/area operating safely and at specified production/run rates.

Responsibilities

The Operator is responsible for:

* Adhering to all safety policies and programs.
* Maintaining equipment and operations.
* Climbing ladders, tanks and towers.
* Taking samples/readings of various process streams.
* Initiating work orders and permitting for work related to the assigned unit.
* Maintaining proper and safe process operations of the operating equipment.
* Performing emergency response duties, as assigned.

Qualifications

In order to be considered for this position you must complete the entire application process, which includes answering all prescreening questions and providing your eSignature on or before the requisition closing date.

Candidates for regular U.S. positions must be a U.S. citizen or national, or an alien admitted as permanent resident, refugee, asylee or temporary resident under 8 U.S.C. 1160(a) or 1255(a)(1). REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

* Must be at least 18 years of age and possess a valid driver's license

o To work a 12-hour rotating shift (involves working weekends, holidays, day/night rotation)
o To work overtime

o To wear Nomex fire retardant clothing and personal protective equipment (such as steel-toe shoes, ear and eye protection.)
o To be clean shaven each day (facial hair) for emergency response purposes
o To perform fire fighting duties, as needed
o To work in and outdoors in a variety of weather conditions
o To work with hydrocarbons that are under high pressure and/or heat
o To read technical procedures and materials in English
o To learn computer software associated with process operations
o Must be able to obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card (issued by the U S Coast Guard)
* Other conditions of employment may include (but not be limited to) the successful completion and/or passing of written aptitude, ability, physical agility, and all other pre-employment screening tests, as well as satisfying the physical criteria/qualifications for emergency response duties.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

* Previous process operations/mechanical equipment, industry and/or military experience strongly desired.
* Military certifications related to process operations (i.e. petroleum supply, water treatment, etc).
* Associate's degree/technical certification in Process/Mechanical Technology from an accredited university.

^ My friend's father works at a similar place. A Chevron and told me about a job that is exactly like the one you listed with maintaining machinery at safety levels, etc. He said you have to pass a mechanical aptitude exam.
