They turned purple once and it was only the rears.

But honestly, I'd rather have an overheat problem than an under heat problem. I can cool the tires, but I can't warm them.

Is this an admittance that you cannot race a car?

That isn't the point of overheating tires. The point at which the tires are overheating is going to be when they feel greasy. No color distortion needed, just a feeling and understanding of what the tires are doing.

Feeling and understanding? I am not capable of these things...

They never felt greasy last year. Although I definitely abused the rears. Less grip in the rear was welcomed.

Do you lift particularly hard after turn in?

I still don't understand how the rears could be hotter than the fronts... You sure you got zero toe in the rear?

Jourdan, maybe you should start taking tire temp readings after every run.

I think I posted about this on another thread in the past, but here it is again.
Lone Pine Time Trials
I've run this event twice....well worth the drive IMO. Check out the video and you get an idea what the course is like.

Lift... Hard? I have been able to get some good rotation out of my car. I'm pretty sure the rear toe is 0. The tires don't show signs of toe wear. If there's any uneven wear, it's camber wear. The outermost section of tread doesn't see a lot of tarmac outside of AutoX.

That sounds like more work... I don't like doing work. Doing the water was a lot of work. I just want to drive the car.

Laziness. This is partly why you'll never beat Huck when he shows up

And I think Gagan is referring to how quickly/slowly are you getting off throttle.

Lift oversteer?

It's weird to describe letting off the gas... hard.

I can usually get good modulation without getting completely off the gas. Usually comes into play in the longer turns which there aren't very many of.

Seriously, though, I need you to drive my car... I need to get someone who knows what they're doing to take it for a spin so I know how terrible the set-up is.

I'm probably the wrong person right now, my driving is terrible. Of I get my head on straight and start driving right, sure.

My runs from the SCCA Pro Solo at Crows Landing. I've never had SO MUCH FUN at an autox! I definitely need to do more in the future

Anyone wanna toss in their $0.02 on my current tire dilemma: RS-Rs, RS-3s, DZIIs or RT615Ks?
