I dunno...there's no weight difference between the forester and the wrx wagon. And with the new rules, you could easily throw and sti turbo/intercooler in and have the same performance that a wrx wagon can with the same upgrades. It would be cool to have a forester be competitive in asp. And we all know Jourdan is capable..
One thing the wagons have is smaller track vs sedans and that's helps them rotate. But the rear structure of the sedan is much beefier. Just open the hood of a sedan and compare to a wagon or forester.
I know you can lower a Forester substantially and make it handle great. But there really seems to be some key differences that would make an Impreza the better race car.
Just how I see it. Would love to be proven wrong and see one put there whooping ***, but I have my doubts.
It's QQ thankyouverymuch

I don't think I can swap over STi bits since it's not the same model line. But I wonder if anyone would notice/make a fuss if I did.
Way too much weight at the top of the car. I don't feel like its structure really gives the amount of rigidity like a WRX or STi. Especially at the suspension mounting points like where the top hats go.

Stupid RS-3s
It's weird. I cooked the **** out of my tires last time at Marina with just me driving. Richard basically hot-lapped at Oakland and they were fine.

Like Gagan said concrete vs asphalt. There's far more grip on the concrete surface, especially when the asphalt surface is degrading like at Oakland.
He is on the Dunlop.

Also, you will then get way more heat in the front tires, and on super hot dunlops, that's just recipe for a bad day.
Funny. I love Marina's surface. And I run Dunlops. Haven't been able to pinpoint why but I always feel way more confident and comfortable on Marina's cement compared to Oakland. The car does exactly what I expect.
However, I HATED Crow's Landing. Overcooked every entry every time.

^ Maybe you feel more confident and comfortable at Marina since it's all open compared to Oakland. As for Crows Landing, there's more grip there than Marina.
