For real. Apple is smart by doing all this because it forces people in to upgrading EVERYTHING.

But all these other companies like BOSE, beats and what not... this would **** me off. But then again... they should probably build more flexible dock set ups.

My buddy has the dre beats box. Thing is like $300. I'd be pissed if I had to do something else or not upgrade because of that. This things are sick by the way.

 

I'm thinking about picking up a phone before they force me to change plans... think it's tomorrow.

Now... iPhone 4s or Razor?

I've got a droid and a droid x right now. Kinda like the idea of going razor but the wife is trying talk me into the iPhone world and I'm a mac guy at heart so.... hmmmmm.

 

I totally love my Razr.. the ONLY reason im upgrading is due to the plan changes and its either "use or lose" my upgrade right now haha

 

Same boat. And I have a slight hook up. I get the cost with the upgrade/new plan extension deal... the $199 for the RAZR but I don't pay any tax. So it's just $200.

Tempted to get the new one though with more memory. Gotta check in to it.

Is it today or tomorrow that the plans go in to effect for verizon?

 

Thurs the 28th is the new plan take over.

I would go with the 16GB Razr.. then just buy a 32 or 64GB SD card (it will end up being cheaper than buying a larger internal memory phone).

If you do go that route, pick up the Razr Maxx (much larger battery).

And my plan is, if I dont like the GS3, I can sell it on CL for over double what ill get it for from VZ, and the person buying it will still get it cheaper than paying full retail price haha

I should throw my X and my o.g. droid up too to see if any wants em.

And if I hate it I can always go iPhone when the 5 comes up and just switch to the new plans.

Couple months later the Razr Maxx came out (SAME thing but larger battery)
couple months after the Droid 4 came out (SAME thing as Razr but with physical sliding keyboard)
Now few months later and Droid Fighter (SAME thing as Razr Maxx but HD screen)

Stupid when they should have just came out with the Fighter from the get go... but then how would they make all their money

 

This all the way if you plan to stick with Android.

You can throw your phones up on Swappa (Android) Buy and sell gently used Android devices if you want to see if you can get some money back.

I went three days babying it.

I can go 2 days with normal usage

It will go one full day heavy usage.

 

Well the fighter looks to have a faster proc and high mb camera as well, it might be dumb if they release it with just the rumored 1gb of ram though given the S3 has 2gb

Point taken, however he bought a $300 accessory to work with a $200 phone that he will probably replace within a few generations (or $120 ipod, etc).

I'm sure if the pin connector does change that at least a few companies will come up with an adaptor.

 

Thats exactly what happened to me before my phone was completely un-usable. I thought it was just an advertisement.. but could it be a virus? :O
