Smogged my 2000 Integra LS recently too, no sniffer just a quick obd check then I was outta there.

 

I have a question about AB 2289.

Does the new regulation for MY2000+ have any hang ups on swapping a different ECU? As this would have a VIN wouldn't that cause a failure?

Also what if you're running TGV deleted and have the CEL turned off? The error code is still thrown correct? Automatic failure?

All the test does is check to make sure the ECU reads as the right one, and that it has no errors. That is IT. It can't tell if you have a tune, it can't tell if you have the 'wrong' ecu so long as its one that reads back proper.

Depends on how its registered. Example my 85 4runner is registered and bar'ed as a 90 Supra turbo.

LOL I have had it out at a few meets. Its a rock crawler beast we did a 7m-GTE swap to, and the ref was on crack and gave me a BAR sticker for it.

 

Smogged and with 06 wrx motor in a 2000 rs same plug in obd and done.

 

Good to know. Is the car already BAR'd?

Really makes me wish I had a 00/01 RS. That and MAP > MAF while NA.
