Bush is on his downside. Not many big plays anymore for his game, but it will definitely fill a need considering we got Hyde as the workhorse and no one else, so it'll help.

Niners still can make some noise, Kaepernick has Torrey Smith and I still expect Boldin to be a physical as he is.

The offense needs to generate points, and that's all Kaepernick now, Greg Roman is gone so this will be very interesting.

Defensively, if Bowman is Bowman with Borland with Brooks and Aldon, that's till pretty formidable, and possibly another 4 probowlers. Don't forget Aaron Lynch came on too.

The d-line is going to need work, Justin Smith is on his last leg and winning on defense, same as offense, starts from the inside out. Dbacks did take a hit with Culliver and ***, but Brock should be back along with a new CB here and there, and they didn't have to pay Culliver 8mil/yr for it

Potential is there, we'll see how the team gels with the new coaches.

One big thing the front offense has NEVER been behind the 8ball with is always have the future to look forward to, as in they never wreck their future drafts and are always acquiring picks.

Everyone so far via ESPN:

San Francisco 49ers

• Signed WR Torrey Smith

• Signed DT Darnell Dockett

• Re-signed TE Garrett Celek

• Re-signed QB Blaine Gabbert

• Re-signed C Kyle Nelson

• Signed WR Jerome Simpson

• Signed RB Reggie Bush

• Re-signed CB Chris Cook

• Signed CB Shareece Wright

Looks like we got a new corner at least. Supposedly he gets drawn into a few pass interference calls so thats cool... Cook is decent I guess we'll be attacking the draft some this year at that position.

Is Justin Smith sticking around?

We still have good names all around. Haven't really done anything to improve our o-line though that still worries me. Next year will be interesting. I'd like to have hope, but I really doubt much about 500 next year

Honestly don't understand why they choose to play football when they already know the risks from the very beginning, then later on decide it's not worth it to have head injuries. If they were so concerned about well-being and health, they should've never taken up full contact football in the first place.

Stunned. I can understand Willis but Borland is killer, dude had pro bowl written and prime time set. Sometimes in sports it's crazy to see people retire early, but man football is on a down turn.

I see them trying to move Ahmad to ILB. I'm also awaiting the "Eric Reid and Navarro Bowman have decided to retire" news. This offseason is the worst that I can remember.

I think the whole team should just call it quits and retire.

After defending Harbaugh for most of the season, Alex Boone does a complete 180 and trashes his former head coach:

From CSNBA:
49ers' Boone: Harbaugh 'wore out his welcome' | CSN Bay Area
Alex Boone was one of the 49ers players that vehemently denied locker room tension and the possibility of Jim Harbaugh leaving, but was later able to explain why the new Michigan football coach was no longer a fit in San Francisco.

“He does a great job of giving you that spark, that initial boom,” the 49ers guard told HBO Real Sports. “But after a while, you just want to kick his a-- . . . . He just keeps pushing you, and you’re like, ‘Dude, we got over the mountain. Stop. Let go.’

"He kind of wore out his welcome,” Boone added.

[MAIOCCO: Boone: 'I know for a fact that everybody loves Harbaugh']

Under Harbaugh, Boone made his way up from undrafted free-agent tackle to Pro Bowl caliber guard, and played an integral role in the 49ers' emergence into a perennial title contender.

But Boone touched on what it took to get there.

“I think he just pushed guys too far. He wanted too much, demanded too much, expected too much. You know, ‘We gotta go out and do this. We gotta go out and do this. We gotta go out and do this.’ And you’d be like, ‘This guy might be clinically insane. He’s crazy,’" Boone said. "I think that if you’re stuck in your ways enough, eventually people are just going to say, ‘Listen, we just can’t work with this.'”

But as far as an uprising from 49ers players against Harbaugh, due to his methods, Boone insisted there was no such thing.

“The players had nothing to do with him getting fired,” the six-year veteran said.

^ Sounds like what many folks stated working with Harbaugh, that once he's gone they're waving bye happily. Heard previous stories of Harbaugh can't stay anywhere than how long he stayed with the Niners because of his persona, this could possibly be true.

However, he did bring a winning tradition, can't argue against that one.

Boone saying what most of us already know. Harbaugh is incredibly hard to work with which is why he lasts ~5 years at every coaching job. The team made the right move booting him.

over what mountain?

no SB rings, so obviously no mountain conquering happened.

all a read in that is "Harbaugh took us from mediocre to incredible, and **** him for pushing us"

for a team that seems to always push results it makes no sense to trash talk the guy who got those results.

From SJ Mercury News

Alex Boone quotes:

“Last I checked I was in the locker room and it was all smiles, and everybody was happy,” Boone said Set. 29 on 95.7 The Game’s The Damon Bruce Show. ”Nobody was saying we want him out. I know for a fact everybody loves Harbaugh.

“He’s a great guy, a great coach. How could you not want to win for a guy that wears cleats during a game? Have you not seen that guy’s energy. He’s exciting 24/7. You’ve got to love playing for a guy like that. That’s what’s football is all about.”

After an Oct. 5 win over the Kansas City Chiefs, Boone again stuck up for Harbaugh and chastised the “losers” who questioned his coach’s future. “I’m really kind of sick of everyone talking about my coach, because he’s like a brother to me,” Boone said at his locker after the game. “So if I were everybody I’d keep my mouth shut, I’d keep their mouth shut, because they don’t want me coming back at them. Especially Jay Glazer, Deion (Sanders). I’m kind of sick of it. Leave my coach alone.”
Harbaugh took this guy from being an undrafted player to Pro Bowl player, and all he gets is a big F U from Boone. Boone doesn't want to work for anything, except to collect a paycheck.

Clearly Harbaugh turned him into a pro bowl player. It didn't have anything to do with the OL coach or even Boone himself.
