This FJ looks super clean. Everyone so far has posted pics of their giant 4WD trucks. Does that mean I can't post my 97 2wd tacoma?

Yeah, unfortunately for us there was some water at the obstacles. Fordyce is crazy fun but I would not attempt that trail with my IFS rig. Would need SAS and 37" tires, locked F&R as well. Or I can take my FJ40.....

COOL!

What base did you start with, or is it a full custom buildup, come on man stats on the RC crawlers.

400whp(rough)800wtq(rough) the diesel shop in walnut creek has a shop truck with damn near the same setup and his numbers were what i posted above.

as for the water crossings at fordcye, just after the jeep jamboree i crossed the first and second water crossing by using my winch line a a anchor. i rolled up the windows and powered on through. sketchy as hell but damn fun..

I agree and I have done 90% of the trails in norcal but right now its my only vehicle as my subaru is on the rack, so I try not to get too brave. I also agree that driver skill plays more into wheeling than anything else. Having ***** of steel helps too. I have gone to the first water crossing of Fordyce in my rig but thats it. I will contemplate Rubicon next year after I get back from Moab.

everything aside, if you use the bypasses, the rubicon isnt really that hard. Its just really nice, slow, LONG, and the people are mostly cool (you do get a few ******)

I've had two Jeeps, both sold now as I can only afford to have one vehicle.

my first jeep: simple 3" pro-comp lift on 31s

my second jeep: 4" Skyjacker lift, 31s, jks disconnects, SYE, flowmaster, etc. I miss this rig sometimes.
