Unequal length is like stock and means you get to keep that subie rumble.
Equal length provides better spool, but makes the car sound more like a Honda and less like a Subaru. Most people don't like the way it sounds. I had a Perrin Equal length and didn't mind the sound since I gained nice power on my 30r, but I did miss the Subie grumble
