No!!!!!!! My car!!!!!!!!
Was it parked on the street with expired tags? If so it may have been towed if they didn't see the DMV permit, that happened to a friend once.
This really sucks. Back when I bought my car they told me that Hondas and STIs were the top stolen vehicles and to watch my a** essentially. It really sucks to keep hearing stories about this. I really hope that everything turns out for the best.

I'll keep an eye out up here (Yuba City/Marysville) & search Craigslist, although I kind of doubt someone will try to sell it whole on CL... any thoughts on that?
Also, although it sounds like you didn't have an alarm or LoJack in the car, how many of us here have LoJack? I have it, but I've been fortunate enough to never have to use it.

In order for it to be towed it has to be 6 months out of expiration, otherwise is it only citable for 4000(a)(1) CVC which is expired registration.

The police can tow your car anytime they want, regardless of what the law says.
Trust me, I have first hand experience with my car.
But for other 'probably cause' they can tow it when they deem fit, which is a dick move...
Check craigstlist for sure, you never know what will pop up...
@Paul - I saw your neighbors on Friday LOL I told em to tell you I said hi, but who knows....

Sorry dude that sucks. On the plus side, if the car is a stocker your insurance should cover the value no problem
Haven't seen it in Richmond yet, thanks d-bags for assuming all stolen cars end up in Richmond. Don't you read the news, we only set fire to cars, NOT steal them. Haha.
But yeah, if it has any mods or anything to make it stand out, post that up and I'll keep my eye out in the hood.
P.S. - Doesn't it make sense that if the cops tow your car, they leave some kinda note? Otherwise you just get something in the mail days later, after impound fees just happen to rack up.

Any news on this. Sounds like a tow to me. But hell thieves steal for parts and there's parts on it... but a more likely target would be an STI.
