Newb with some dealership questions
Hi all,
New to the forums, so I thought I'd drop in, say hi, and ask my questions. I'm looking at either an 08 WRX or STI, but I'm leaning toward the STI as it'll be a bump up from my current ride.
<sarcasm>
Anyway, I've noticed that the dealership that everybody *loves* is Steven's Creek. I found a huge thread about how great they were, and how courteous the sales staff was. Seems like a pretty low pressure place to find a car at a great price!
</sarcasm>
It seems that most people like Santa Cruz Subaru and Carlsen. Does anybody have any contacts that I can get in touch with? I'd prefer not to pay MSRP for the car (nor any markup), and I think that's doable considering the state of the economy (and maybe the state of the STI, but that's an entirely different subject). I did a quick dealer inventory search through the Subaru website, and I see lots of STIs on the lots. I'd be willing to drive to pick up a car at a good price.
Thanks in advance for any help. This board has been helpful in answering a lot of my questions already. On another note, I saw a very nice WRX or STI (can't remember) sporting an i-club sticker at the hobby shop on Blossom Hill in San Jose this past Sunday. My guess was that you were racing a WRX/STI RC car, but I wasn't able to stick around long enough.
Thanks again!
Brad

I just bought an 08 sti (WRB with stock wheels) from capital subaru... really good service and I got a really good deal. They are the costco dealer so they can get the price to about $300 above invoice im pretty sure, but def below msrp. They have some younger guys working there that are really chill about test drives and such. If you go, ask for Eddison. He helped me out a bunch and let me test drive the car for about 20 min on both city streets and freeways. Good luck with your purchase, and if you do get the sti, you won't be sorry.
