I'm 6'6".5 tall and fit comfortably in an 07 STi, which is a tad smaller then the 08+ model years.
The only problem with our cars is the seats sit REALLY high, but even still, I was able to fit pretty nicely, but I eventually switched seats and installed a Sparco racing seat which sits much lower and has improved the roominess of the car. I have a few inches of head room which is unheard of in other cars. His height wont be a factor at all.
BTW, I can't fit into an S2000, no way, no how. My head sits over the windshield and I have to wear aviator goggles and a scarf like the red baron. lol

Lol, guess the guys are just being honest.
Did he track/autocross the s2k? If he's into tracking/autox then the STi is a good bet. But if not, for the same price, he can get a 135i. Tho if he wants any of the luxy stuff, the options start to stack up. I got mine barebone with just metallic paint and has loved the car ever since. I still have suby love and will probably get a wagon once i get a dog, but you can't go wrong with a 135i.

There are a lot of people that really dislike the 1 series (BMW) because it's small, but I dont think it's that small at all... I drove my friends and it was pretty roomy inside and was A LOT of fun to drive. If I got another car, it'd def be a 135i, soooo fun! It's smaller then a 3 series on the outside, but same size inside (Pretty sure they are the same or very similar at least). It's like a luxury bi-turbo go kart! Lots of fun to drive and easy to get more HP out of it. It's a really good deal costing less then an STi.
Have him take a look at a 135i, especially if he wants something with a little more class. The problem with our cars is that they stand out like crazy and are usually associated with younger people. I was talking to my dad, and he loves my car and said he would have killed to have one like it when he was younger, but said he wouldn't be caught dead in one at his current age, but he would totally rock a 135i.
