I've heard of a few people gettin pulled over and gettin that smog reff ticket, mostly loud or flashy cars...I remember a few cars goin up for sale because of gettin this ticket and not being able to bring the vechile to up to code.

This just means that any of u that were trippen cuz the smog was gonna come up soon with your 02 WRX can chill for a few more years...till 2008
and the homies with the 2002-2005s won't have to smog them when they get sold.

if you drive normally neer them or shift up they wont hear you and they wont pull you over. i dunno what it is, i have driven buy plenty of cops and chp and they dont even look twice. *knock on wood* its probably the area where i live, cops dont enforce that stuff at all because theres not really a "street racing" problem.

How about bringing a car in from out of state? I bought my STi out of state and had to smog it when I registered it in CA. The DMV said I was going to have to smog it every two years even though it is under six years old, because I bought it out of state. Any idea on how the new laws will handle this? Thanks

of course not, unless you have cops in your area that are just looking for a reason to pull you over.

*knock on wood* I have not had a problem yet
