New GoKart track in Santa Clara. "K1 Speed"
i actually like the structure of time attack. at least that way you can weave your way around traffic vs. starting at the front and being by yourself. it gets lonely out there.

I'm getting faster. I posted a 23.076 today. So close to breaking 22.

Lots of traffic today though. It felt good to be passing people like no tomorrow but it really hurt my times and consistency. Each session I would only get 1 or 2 good laps. One of the sessions, one of the other drivers actually got their kart on top of someone else. It was unreal.

Dead serious. I was actually kinda freaked out. It did not look like a good time.

It happened just before the exit to turn 6. Someone went wide/spun out and hit the barrier on the outside and just kinda stopped there. Then another person (who was right in front of me) hit the apex to turn 6 early and exited really wide and just plowed right into the dude on the wall. He hit the guy on the wall so hard that his kart went up and over. Needless to say they shut down all power and the race came to a stop. The driver was removed from the race.
The traffic in general kinda sucked too. I was always raging through 3, 4, and 5. I can take all of those corners flat out and everyone else would always lift.
It was also very common for me to be coming out of of turn 8 only to be slamming on the brakes because there is someone stopped sideways right before turn 9. Freaks me the **** out because I'll be flat out and it takes me a while to stop.

Hide and Jansen, On turns 6 and 9 do you guys apex early or late?
I usually apex early. I cant tell if a late(r) apex will be faster or not. But you guys are about half a second faster than me. I want to find that half second real bad.

because there's a race going on, but you're not in it.
