Needed - someone to cheat for me - CL AD
I will admit that I used a long standing (like over 10years) list of answers to Chabot's placement exams.
I'm not stupid. I just couldn't place higher than Geometry, and basically wasn't scoring high enough in Trig to get into Stats and Finite Math, which I needed for business.
So, my GF at the time (now wife) had a cousin, who, years ago, had the exams (both math and english) answers. He's been selectively giving them out for over a decade to many in the Indian/Paki/Afghan community...
Do I feel bad? I don't now. I did at the time. I was desperate, cause I know I can do the stats and finite math, but just was struggling to get the trig right. I really was down about it, but by getting in there, and getting it done, being unlocked from that mess, I was able to rocket to graduation. It was truly the one thing that was holding me back. And seriously, I wasted time trying to relearn trig twice, and failed, twice. I don't know why, i just can't do it.
But I'm happy now, and I got a B in Stats and A in Finite Math.

I'm at a loss reading this thread...don't they still teach math in HS?
I understand being 10 years out of HS and going back to college but I'm kind of shocked anyone who can't do basic math thinks they should be on College level courses.
All through college (20 years haha), I generally worked in the math lab, just because it's usually quiet. I would end up helping a lot of undergrads...the number of ppl that can't do basic math is staggering...how do these ppl think they'll get through college?
They would resent having to take remedial math classes...excuse me, you should be expected to do college level work, right?
Shouldn't a college grad be expected to be able to do basic math and English?
I just don't understand.
