Yeah but konie yellows are great on either chassis.

I get mine on tirerack. I have installed 3 sets... if you need help installing em... hit me up.
I'd recon to say that you are considering how many you've installed and the fact you own both... I'm not old... I'm wise(ish). LOL!

If you put my sway bar set up on your car you'd be like... wtf?

but yeah... in the general sense sure. But in specifics, no.
Actually, your 22/24 bar set-up is exactly what I'm shooting for at some point in time.

Whiteline is the **** for everything. I hope to have most of their catalog on my car at some point in time.

Just buy everything from the whiteline catalog.

and buy some KW V3's while you're at it.

I've had 6 sets of Koni Yellows on different cars, and installed around the same for others, and never had any issues with them. Never once heard of one blowing out - would be interested to hear about that! They have a "million mile" gurantee I thought. Have to check on that.

I just bought another set recently, for my '02 Bugeye Sedan. I got them from the supplier mentioned here, THM, though mine were $655 shipped. At the time, TireRack was around $850 plus shipping.

The last set I installed were for my 2002 Toyota MR-2 Spyder. Before that, I had built sets for two Maximas, my 2003 WRX Sedan, and installed a set on a friend's Miata (these do not need to be built, and are direct replacement with built-in perches).

I think anyone that has done basic work on their car, has the time/patience and workspace/tools to do it should give it a try. It's important to be methodical, and of course paint all the exposed metal - properly - and wait for it to dry!

As far as "too much lean" well, this is not a low/mean sports car so there will be some lean. Might want to get some seat-time for a few thousand miles and get used to the unique way a Subaru tears down a road. At the same time, there are some things you can do - as others have mentioned - sway bars will probably take you where you want to go.

My Justy feels like it's going to scrape a door handle on the ground on some turns but still won't let go. It's certainly unsettling, but, I have heard others mention making the car less grippy on roads after stiffening it up - so there is that to consider.

For a street car, depending on one's age of course, I recommend a relatively stock-like spring rate, and better dampers + sway bars and end links. I mentioned the end links because they are important, and it almost feels like sticking on thicker bars just getting those nasty stock plastic pieces out of there. That is something that is relatively cheap, quick and easy, and worth-while as you can use the end links with new/upgraded bars down the line.

For me, I chose to go with Swift Springs for that "stock-like" spring rate, but bringing the nose down around 1", and Koni Yellows for damping. I drove it around with stock struts for around 10k miles, and it's nice, but the Koni's are definitely needed.

Also as others have mentioned, get Fender/Cowl Braces!! TiC offers a great set.

I've cut about 5 or 6 sets now. Needed a new pipecutting tool cause I wore the little wheel on the old one.

One of my rears was leaking fluid when upside down. STILL WORKED!

Like, I could drive around on it just fine. But car wasn't handling like I wanted is all.

Turns out that one dynoed ZERO rebound

You never sent me your resume and info of what type of work you want. I have some leads here but need to know more about Jourdan as a worker and what he wants.

Reading this thread has got me inspired to ditch my bc coil overs for some koni inserts and spring setups, seems like the consensus is swift/rce blacks.

Anything else I should know specific to my 06 sti model? I found a set of sti strut/spring takeoffs assembled with top hats. so I'm guessing i just buy the koni inserts, the springs, try to get jamison to work his magic on them and i should be good?

thanks in advance.

Yes!

You will love them. I think the DREX extenders would be good from TIC. Not if they still make them. I use washers from the hardware store.

Comfy spring rates would be 300ish. Street/track would be 400ish and mostly racing or IDGAF will be 500ish.

You can use the springs that come with the GC kit, they are eibach. Or get your own.

A more street setup is to get RCE blacks. You retain the oem tophats for the most part. Get the most comfy of the spring setups.

I used to have BCs. Now I'm on Konis with Ground Controls. If I were to do it again, I would have listened to what Gagan (joltdudeuc) said before I got the BCs.

The BCs were total crap.

I've been looking for the inserts online and all the retailers show 2004-2007 impreza (wrx included, sti excluded) and 2004-2007 wrx (sti excluded)

Is this a listing mistake? Wanted to make sure I got the right ones.

I was even looking at the feal sti strut rebuilds. Anyone have experience with those? Seems like I can just ship them out and they'll turn the struts into something pretty decent for $400.

No I think the wrx and na impreza use the same diameter. Stis are larger.

And feals inserts are hotbits. Quality inserts.
