Need some help from the i-club fam!
It's been some time since I last attended BAM, but it reminded me how nice it was meeting some of you.
Unfortunately I wasn't able to attend BAM this year. It’s been a rough year for my family and I. Recently I suffered a spinal cord injury that left me as a tetraplegic. In addition my little brother Keith was a victim of the UC Santa Barbara school shootings last year. I'm currently undergoing intense rehabilitation at Craig Hospital in Denver, CO to try and regain everything I’ve lost. Big thanks to everyone for their support in keeping me positive as I continue to make progress! However, medical costs for my injury are nothing small and continue to add up. The Christopher and Dana Reeves foundation have estimated costs for spinal cord injuries to be over $100k/year. And with my brother's traumatic brain injury the costs have been overwhelming for my family and I.
