just get the stoptech SP's (street performance). you really cant go wrong. good all around pads and great bite. with alot of the other pads (HPS, deluxe plus, porterfield...) you either have zero bite/no dust or great bite/lots of dust. the SP's are somehwere in between. if thats what youre in to.

If you don't buy Axxis Ultimates, I will kill you.

I'm sorry, I have to disagree, cause usually that's the case, but wow... ever seen these pads turn into liquid drops? Little black beads on the inside of the wheels. It takes a damn flat head screwdriver to chisel them off!

God damn I love those pads

both pads are great, the one advantage of the Stoptech SP pads are they dont dust as bad as the Axxis, they have very similar characteristics but with a higher operating temp, so the cold initial bite is a bit less than Axxis but duration and pedal modulation is slightly improved throughout.

we have these pads for every year/make subaru in stock.

my $0.02

considerably less dust or mildly less?

I've got Axxis ULT right now for the 4pots....man thats going to dust like crazy on my white wheels. Still plenty of meat on these current pads but I am thinking of stoptech in the near future.

I have some cleaner/wax stuff that I got sold at the gas station and it works pretty good. Basically you spray and rub it on your wheels and it makes cleaning them way easier. Wax helps too.

my last set of pads were axxis ultimate which have great bite and dust like mad.
The pad squeal tabs started doing their job so I replaced the pads with stoptech SP pads. They dust less and are equal on initial bit and heat resistance, and cheaper than Axxis!

Is there a reason people aren't using Hawk?

It's the standard for most other cars?

I just had Hawks installed. I like them so far, but I am currently in the process of blowing my engine so I can hardly give an accurate road test.

the only hawk pads I've used were hawk HPS and they faded under heat/load. Especially when it's hot in the summer time they would fade under even less load.

Axxis ultimate pads are great but dust a lot. i'm loving the stoptech PS pads right now for the cost and performance.

I ran Hawk HP+ pads on several of my cars in the past. Those things have great stopping power after getting up to temp. The downside is, they're noisy.
