do you have a degree or resume that you could utilize and put out there right away? that would be objective 1. start by building a good resume that communicates what you want and what you are good at, pertaining to the job you want.

Always hiring, not as easy as it looks, unless you're manning a box or something...

admin and temp services always hiring too. especially in the time of layoffs. corporations would rather pay hourly wages to cheaper temporary agency contractors. gets full-time employee salaries off the books. i found my first job working through a temp agency - if they like you, they might like to keep you after your contract is up. kind of eases the whole process of landing the perfect career job without having to only interview, plus it lets you evaluate your commitment to a particular workplace for the long term.

i started out with Manpower and Kelly services. These are pretty typical admin services jobs but if you get placed in the right company with good people, you can land a pretty good full-time gig doing something else within the company. I even did a stint with Adecco human resources services who staffs sports stadiums and public events. Worked some 49ers and A's games - pretty fun. Kelly temp services has a more specific branch called Kelly Scientific that only staffs to research facilities and biotech companies - i worked with a recruiter there to get a full-time position back in 04/05.
