At the ATP ECU shootout a few weeks back, Cobb's reflash pinged and ours didn't. Vishnu is also local to you if that counts for anything.

Between those two, Vishnu. Hands down.

I-Speed is also someone you can contact. They are local, and Bill does great work.

But don't give Cobb your money. Look to local vendors/businesses. Think about it this way, if something went wrong, what's better? turn around time from Cobb which is in Utah and Texass? Or Shiv or Bill, who can help you within' a day or two.

Same product, $400 + (n*20) versus $650 + (n*175). No contest there.

Disclaimers: Gagan is a local vendor brownnoser. BANSUVS failed to mention that Shiv got to tune while sitting there for the ultra hot conditions. I have a Cobb reflash.

i would have to say vishnu or i-speed. mostly because both of those tuners tune for the crappy california gas all the time. and if you have a problem shiv, and bill are both local and always willing to take care of you.

Dude, I seriously hope you're joking about this comment . That shootout was anything but, and I don't think ANY of the vendors present would want it to be representative of their product.

This is what I heard:

It was ungodly hot.

ALL 3 reflashes pinged (?)

Vishnu's was the only reflash that did not have *audible* ping.

Cobb made the most low-end power but pinged slightly.

I-speed's reflash pinged dangerously after making peak power, so much so that it was decided best to stop the test.

To add the issue, Ispeed does NOT have an off-the-shelf "base map" reflash - you pay the $650, you get an hour on the dyno or 2 on the road for a custom tune, so considering that the car was not stock (nor did it perform anywhere near a car with its mods should have), and there was no tuning allowed, I can't see what I-speed could have done to compete fairly. Face it, that day's test really should not be taken as an indication of anything for any of the vendors.

well then cobb and i-speed are out. If you want something you can tune then check out vishnu. They have their Xede that is user tunable. Also check out turbo xs's UTEC. Both of these piece aren't cheap, the xede is around 800 and the utec is near 1k new.
