Question Need help with Laptop

Laptop: Acer 8.9 inch

Issue:
So my laptop completely crashed out of nowhere and I'm lost on what to do. I was in the middle of loading up music from an external hard drive, that a friend loaded up with new music, onto itunes then out of nowhere it completely crashed. It made a loud buzzing sound and the screen just went black and blue. I was forced to shut it down by holding down the power button.

When it turned on, it goes to a black screen that states:

We apologize for the inconvenience, but Windows did not start successfully. A recent hardware or software change might have caused this.

If your computer stopped responding, restarted unexpectedly, or was automatically shut down to protect your files and folders, choose Last Known Configuration to revert to the most recent settings that worked.

If a previous startup attempt was interrupted due to a power failure or because the Power or Reset button was pressed, or if you aren't sure what caused the problem, choose Start Windows Normally.

Safe Mode

Safe Mode with Networking

Safe Mode with Command Prompt

Last Known Configuration

Start Windows Normally.

It then goes to the Microsoft Windows XP screen, then instantly changes into a blue screen that states

"A problem has been detected..."

then it changes really fast back to that black screen with all the options again. It constantly does this and I've tried to click on all of the options, but none work.

Does anyone know what's going on? Can anyone help me out?

All assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks everyone.

I'd try this before format and reinstall.

Get something like BartsPE and have a virus scanner on it. I'd run chkdsk /f /r on the c partition and see if that does anything. Also try the virus scanner.

good luck, this why I take images of my PC.

o yea, are u able to even go on ur desktop at all? or does it keep cycle booting at the BSOD. try to get into safe mode and get a copy of malwarebytes anti-malware and do a full system scan.

worst case scenario u will have to reformat ur comp.

how could they do that if they cant get to the desktop?

I thought if you plugged in a flash drive, the computer would not recognize and load the files?
