And to the OP: use brake anti-squeal rather than grease behind the pads. It's available from your local Kragen (etc.) It's tacky when applied and won't move around. And won't lubricate the surface of your brake pads if it does.
Thanks for the info Hopefully I can take it apart successfully first haha

You are not supposed to use the backing plates on the ultimates, and no "disc brake goop" either, since the back of the pad comes with a textured pad. It's fairly quiet as is.

I would prefer it if someone can meet up with me to help me out, if possible. I am a hands on person so instructions online won't really help me since I need someone to physically be there showing me what I need to do.

I was also wondering that if I was to have used slotted rotors, do they need to be resurfaced before being installed?

I'll feed you if you help me lol.

Thanks in advance for all your help/input.
If I wasn't busy as hell this week I'd help you, but I can't. No need to resurface the slotted rotors.

If you're hearing a terrible scraping noise from a rear wheel - especially when making turns - check out this thread:
http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show....php?t=1269334

It might be some metal bits scraping each other and not worn-out brakes. You'll see the symptoms if this is the case.

I might be having the same problem again on my 02.

no, i don't believe it's that. the noise isn't coming from the rears. i recently had the 4pots installed a little over a month ago, and since then i've been hearing a loud screeching noise from the front in the past 3-4 weeks. there was never an issue with my stock brakes so i know it has to be something going on with either the brake pads or the fact that it just needs some lubrication lol but thanks for the info.
