Arrow Need help with a god%$) mother f#$*)%&( BOLT

Threaded this bolt (the middle of the 3 Grade 8 bolts you see in the pics below) into the chassis....turn turn turn SNAP. The thread of the bolt must have cracked off in the chassis of the car...now it spins free but I cannot pull it out for the life of me.

How do I get this thing out?

These bolts hold in my hidden hitch...I had to remove the hitch and now I want to reinstall it but cant cuz of this bolt...sorry for the blur of 2/3 of these..haha..damn up close flash pic.

can you use a long nose pliers and rotate while pulling DOWN?

well the usual way to get out stripped bolts is to get a small prybar under its head to pull out on it while screwing it out, works best with an impact gun.
Good luck Alan!

tried both of the above...guess the only way might be with a prybar.

the bolt just spins freely yet will not come out at all...i've tried to get in there with hook shaped pliers but still can't do it.

guess i'll have to wrestle with this beeeyaaaaaaaaaatch until it just comes out.

Do like the pros

Get a tap and die set from Home depot.

Drill the center of the bolt to get a nice little hole then use the die which works with your drill in reverse to remove it.
Not sure if you can get a drill in that space, but once you tap the hole, they have hand held grips for the die as well.

? I figured a man of many trades such as yourself would have recommended the kit. or the weld and turn method. Or the dremel a line in it and unscrew it method.

maybe that's just for when you snap the head off of screw.

The pry bar method sound appropriate for this situation... I'd recommend something like a thinner chisel type of deal for this though because of the size and placement. A pry bar under there if you don't have a lift would be no fun.

No ****.
I sheared two of the DP to Turbo bolts/studs w/ only 2K miles on my '05!
My theory is that Japanese engineers love to use fine threads; it allows 'em to not use lock nuts.
That, or they're still sore at us about Hiroshima & Nagasaki.
