I had a similar problem today.

Car turned over and over but wouldn't start. I had to jump it yesterday. But it got started twice and drive from san jose to sf today....the battery should have recharged in that amount of time. I do have a stereo. 800 watts total.

But it's pissing me off. errrrrrr.

I hope mine is just a battery or something small.

Hopefully it's just your battery. I wish I had a tester to test my isht.

Good luck.

If you're have that powerful of an aftermarket stereo system, it doesn't matter how long the drive is, you're overloading the available output of your alternator and you're going to drain your battery.

You might want to look into the JDM higher-output alternator or and aftermarket/rebuilt unit that offers higher amperage output, or you WILL eventually burn out your alternator and your battery.

A battery in a good state of charge should be 12.6 volts just sitting there. Engine on, and charging should be around 14. Below 9.6v, and it's not going to crank most likely.
