Need help and advice

About a year and a half ago, the dealer did the 120,000 service for me which included the timing belt. Well yesterday i found out that the dealer didnt tightened some bolts and that caused damage to the timing belt and some other things, thats going to cost me around $1000. I took it to a shop, and they said the pulley and belt got damaged and needed to be replaced. The car is currently getting repaired right now, but I was just wondering if i can do anything to help my situation or if im just outa luck

The timing belt is supposed to be done at 105k. Since it's been a year and a half since they performed the work, I doubt you'll be able to prove that what they did actually caused the damage. If it was caught earlier you would have a better shot.

Good luck!
