Uhh? Warranty? Hmmm... Guess I was born yesterday.

Haha, I just took my car in for a 22.5K inspection.. I have a feeling the techs there don't do a thorough inspection in my car.

But yea, try to get things sorted with the dealership because most of your car is still under warranty. I just got my new wiper blades for free, under warranty!

I know how the thing works. I was simply wondering what it would pay according to Subaru guidelines. I never said you were born yesterday.

Time is money, though. Hard to argue with that.

This is a thread about a totally different issue, so I'm going to drop this. Apologies to the OP.

That is true. However, warranty service can't be provided by an indie shop.

Burning smell it from slipping the clutch. The flywheel could have been resurfaced. Clutch is a wear item just like brakes. FYI the Pilot bearing is not a wear item . Justin has shown me many clutches that fail "prematurely".

Talk to service. That's nada to do with me. Though I do steal it to check random codes sometimes.

Did you see the flywheel in question?

What happened to the OP?

Agreed. How about "in most cases" a flywheel can be resurfaced. Should always be resurfaced/replaced when changing the clutch disc. Better?
