Yep, for those future runners at Laguna Seca, a WRX with a catless perrin turboback exhaust, with Gruppe-s headers, and a bosal catless up-pipe and a vf-34, you are going to be running at 98.6db @ 50 feet.

Cheers,
Austin

The GT3 went into the wall? I missed that. Such a nice car. I saw what was left of the integra.

I was taking it easy most of the day. It was still a great time. Laguna Seca is a lot of fun. Wish I had signed up for both days now.

This was the first time I was on the track with my windshield wipers on. It would start to rain as soon as group 3 would line up. Speaking of tire pressure I lowered mine a couple pounds after it started raining. Helped a bit.

Was I the only one that learned the general line on a video game first? I played Forza for 2 hours the day before.

I have a few in-car vids, but nothing exciting. Nobody spun out in front of me this time. I do have video of that guy in the pt cruiser gittin' it around the track. heh

I learned the track from gran turismo on the playstation, I must have done thousands of laps, but for me it didn't catch the elevation change or cornering intensity on the playstation at all...in real life the track was a lot different.... especially turn 9, that was a difficult corner to get right.

What a great track. next it's infineon for me...time to get the playstion out!

haha, I just watched that Top Gear clip. There definitely areas where the PS2 does not do justice to the real track. However, felt that playing the game helped me memorize the track and anticipate what lines to use...more so than just looking at the map. Also, I found game harder to drive in...maybe thats cause I was driving a heavily modded JDM version of my bugeye as opposed to my much slower, real car

I was there on Sunday in the 2002 PSM WRX with the STi wing and Morettes. By the way, I live 10 minutes from the track so I also had the advantage of going and looking at the elevation changes that the game didnt recreate very well

Both the Integra and the GT3 lost it coming out of 3 and hit the LH wall right under the Yokohama bridge literally 3 or 4 feet away from each other. The Integra was weird because we were sitting there, the 2nd row of cars had just started to go out but grid was still packed and then we got the call. Sad to see both cars. Great to see the Subys. I was only on the track for the parade lap on Sunday, but even that was fun!

Thought I recognized your car, saw you come in and do the parade lap.

Great seeing all the familiar folks yesterday.

When the hell was the parade lap?????

Would have been nice to get the car out and say "I've driven on Laguna Seca" Maybe next time

Good seeing Mike and meeting Brian Lock out there. Met the owner of the white wagon, nice guy (Dimitri, if I'm not mistaken)

Parade lap was after the 2nd session on the day at like 12:30 ish, a few laps to take friends and family out on the track to see what it was, low speed of course.
