N.A.S.A Laguna Event. . . 2 Weeks !

Hey guys and gals,

I just wanted to those of you whom haven't heard, there is going to be a N.A.S.A. track event at Laguna Seca, in 2 weeks, and as far as I can tell, there are still all kinds of spots open. Another suby and I are caravaning down there and such so I wanted to see if any others from the Bay Area are going.

Cheers,
Austin

I might try to make this one, but have 2 questions:

1) What kindof helmet am I going to need? I have an M2000 rated full face helmet.
2) How does one check how much i have left on my brake pads?

That helmet should be fine, they usually dont even check. All you really need to do is go to a gas station that has a bar stamp or number and have them fill out the form. You dont need to go to a listed shop unless your car has any saftey mods. (roll bar, harness...) And the cost is 250 for one day and 450 for two days.

I'll be there working safety, probably won't be on the track though. I need to do a few things to my car. Mine will be the BRP GM6 with HI plates. M2000 full face helmet is what I have, should be fine.

I'm headed down there. I'll probably take the Porsche though. So if you see the Gray Boxster S w/blue top. That's me. I'm not one of the stuck up owners.

Edit: Oh yeah, I'm only signed up for Saturday Group 3.

Be careful out there...I just saw a carrera gt wreck at Infineon this afternoon. People in my class were picking up chunks of carbon fiber for souvenirs!

That is one expensive track event, what turn did they wreck at ?

To the rest in the Monterrey area, I will PM you about being included in the meet.
