I'd be interested in a mod run down as I'm planning on running that turbo.

I take it that's a JDM 2.0?

you're the one that posted your lisense plate not me.

How does that work with smog? All I know with smog is hondas and domestics. I wouldn't mind going that route when my motor goes. Either that or I'm going with the newest long block sti set up I can find.

as long as the engine is out of a car same make that is of the year of the car or newer, and you have all OBDII sensors on it and hooked up and working, you should pass the ref which allows them to smog. Once you get reffed, the rest is on you (=

My plate makes no difference. The car is only registered to the address, doesnt reside there. Im worried about people seeing the car. Not like removing the plate is gonna make it harder to spot.

It doesnt work with smog. LOL

cool...pretty much just like the honda world.

Long as the install is clean, all sensors there I'm good. Hmmm. Maybe I will go the jdm route...depends on which is cheaper and easier when the time comes for me. All I know is I want a COMPLETE swap. Seen too much trouble ****ing around with short blocks.

what's so funny?

I don't see why it wouldn't. I don't think they'd know that turbo from a stock one. Long as it's clean and tuned to pass smog. Paperwork is solid etc. People do run JDM motors LEGALLY you know.

yeah, as for the turbo, depends on which referee station you go to, some will check the numbers on the turbo to make sure it's stock, just like some will check for PR-3 on the VTEC head of a GSR swap to make sure it's the proper/inproper head...
