walking/standing really hurts right now, luckily though sitting in front of the computer feels okay, so looks like it hasnt affected my life so much I'll be stuck indoors for the 3 day weekend though, not like Id want to try to leave town with the bridges all F'd up anyways...

Sucks that you can't really do much without being in pain... My mom had this surgery as well, but she had her appendix removed at the same time. She had a big as **** scar cuz of it and was off her feet for a good week or so... This was like 15 years ago, and I think medical science has advanced since then... So how big is your scar? Also, what did they give you for the pain? Did you have to spend the night in the hospital at all? She was in the hospital for like 3 days from what I remember. When I had my apendix removed at around the same time as her, I was in the hospital for 5 days!

my fiance had this surgery last year. talk about pain. I hope to God that I never have to endure such an event.

Get lots of rest and stay away from broccoli.
