My old STi is for sale, DO NOT BUY IT!!!

Long story short I bought the car from the dealership (Cardinale GMC) in January of this year. Literally less than 3 weeks later the turbo blew, the headgasket blew, and the car spun a rod bearing. Lucky for me I was able to return the car back to the dealership and get my money back.

Well now the car is back and I highly doubt the car was professionally fixed. These guys were shady enough as it is. The car was nothing but problems for me and I want to warn everyone to stay away from this car!

Also, here's a video of the car before it was returned

Well they should have replaced the turbo and motor. And if they did so everything should be ok. I find out post that you are telling people to stay away just because you "highly doubt" it was fixed properly. I think what you should recommend is for potential buyers to inspect the throughly and look for new motor/turbo etc. so you spun a rod? Did you check your oil level often? Any mods?

How often do you guys check your oil? I check every time I get gas which is about every 2 days. With how much oil Subarus consume I HIGHLY recommend checking your oil as often as possible (Not directed at anyone in this thread, just general info for the newbs reading this thread).

In all my 3 subies, all of them have consumed a crazy amount of oil.

Every gas-up is normal, every time you hop in the car seems a bit absurd to me though.

Bkblitzed just checked it out and said it has absolutely no coolant in it so he couldn't test drive it.

It came with the WRX wing already and I kept the front STi badge for myself I did check the oil every fill up and inspected everything before I took a trip to Oakland to visit my girlfriends family. On the way back I noticed the car making weird noises and was not going into boost at all. I stopped off at Gilroy to gas up and when I took off there was clouds of smoke coming from the back of the car. So I found the closest parking lot and called my insurance to tow the car back to the house. There was oil in the coolant and when I turned on the car oil/coolant came out of the exhaust in a big messy goop.

the only time I check my oil is when I get out of the car and I do not smell burning oil.
