last thursday i spun out and the rear of my car took out a cement light pole (for those of you in S.F. did you notice a light pole missing near lake merced on Sunset?). so the trunk pretty much got pushed all the way to the back seat, rear windshield is shattered, both tail lights are broken, but both rear doors still open. i don't have any pictures yet, but im pretty sure it is totaled. what do you think? anyone else have similar damage done to their subaru? for those of you who have been in accidents in the bay area where have you taken your car to, to be worked on? can the dealership work on it? thanks

I'm going to have to check out that lightpole. Glad you're ok. Most dealerships don't have body shops, they will more than likely bring it to a local shop to have it repaired.

I brought my old Legacy to Ron Price recommended GM auto body in south bay.
They sucked.
Took forever, crappy paint job. I had to bring it back because the put on a
messed up bumper.

I don't recommend that place.

wow i got in an accident on the same day and the same thing happened to me. only i took out a fence after i hit the curb. mine is probably not totaled and all of my damage is up front. that is kind of scary though.

 

so i was just told that the car is totaled. bad news for you scavengers, im not buying the car back and parting it out cause i don't have time for that right now. i just came back from LA and saw that they put the lightpole back up so when i get the bill ill let you know just how much those things cost. pics should be up tomorrow

^^^I had a similar accident a few month back. No where near totaled though. Seriously, thinking about upgrading suspension and handling aspect of the car. Need to eliminate or reduce underdrive. It sucked really bad. Guess, we won't drive like that again and be a safe driver.
