Must be Smelling Man season.
saw a BUNCH of crazy dirty, dusty cars coming back this past weekend. They were everywhere. They all had bikes on them, and stuffed full. The cars were FILTHY, and not a single one was a subaru...

Car Info: always changing...
So... all you guys knocking Burning Man (who probably have never been to the event) don't like:
Parties
Music
Camping
Crazy Art
Crazy Art Cars
Boobies (who doesn't like 'em!?!?!)
Costumes (seriously, who doesn't?)
Fire
Explosions
Giant catapults (for flaming pianos, boats... whatever)
Pantzookas (to shoot pairs of pants at dudes not wearing any, yet still wearing a shirt)
Radical self reliance
The desert
(nicely) making fun of hippies (cuz you know... not everyone out there is one...)
Seeing/experiencing things you may not have seen/experienced before...
Personally my wife and I have not been since 2006. This is after I went from 1996 (when guns were still allowed, yay!) to 2006 (my first year in the medical tent for dehydration, whoops!).
I've seen (and done) a lot of crazy things out there. I've been more annoyed buy the frat boys then the hippies. I've met some very, very cool people. I've helped build a flame throwing family wagon that did not play techno or any type of electronica (don't get me wrong, I love my Unce...)...
I've gotten into fights with both my campmates, neighbors and partners as well as the occasional self entitled douchebags out on the playa.
All in all it's a pretty damn fun event that is mostly what you make it. Of course it can be ****ty out there if you let it but hey... you have to actually go to know.
Lastly, the Black Rock Desert is actually cleaner due to this event. It's pretty amazing to see a city grow from nothing to a place with over 30K people and then, within a month or so, all traces of it being gone...
Should everyone go? No... probably not.
