Arlington Heights!
That's where I grew up....funny!
If you ever need a shop, go to TopSetup in Palatine...my buddy charlie owns it and is a solid mechanic.

alrighty. i'll check it out. WHen does it officially start snowing in Chicago?
Mayeb i should make sure i have a spot and stuff before i ship the car over. It'll be nice to know the roads before the snow kicks in and everything is hard to see.

I grew up in Chicago, and for the most part anyone that cares about their car gets a beater to drive in the winter and leaves the nice car in the garage.
Other than that, yeah: wax and wash.

wash it a lot during winter.. chicago has harsh road. -_- salt is everywhere during winter..
Lake shore drive is fun, sheridan is fun, all the other highways aren't.
Make sure you have steak 'n shake there.. i missed it terribly.
