Motorla Droid Static sound through speakers...

Hey everyone, I searched online to try and solve my issue, but I couldn't find anything that listed an actual fix.

My issue:
Randomly I will get a static sound through my speaker, usually it happens after a text. It just started happening this week. For a few seconds it will sound like I am changing a a radio station with a ****. My phone is not rooted/modded or anything like that.

Actually I just put my ear up to the speaker while it is idling and it sounds like the speaker is on and there is a "beep" every 5 to 10 seconds... but I can only hear the beep and static if my ear is against it.

Anyone know what is causing this??

Edit: and it is the speaker on the back... not the actual phone speaker.

Are you talking about the speaker on the actual phone or are you referring to the phone is causing a static sound to come out of external speakers? If it's the 2nd condition that tends to happen with just about any phone as it's picking up a signal and is anywhere near a speaker that is active.

I just tried to make my post a little clearer. It is the speaker on the back of my phone.
