BMW service in the south bay?
I know some of you guys have BMW's in the family/household.
While I cannot stand my mother in-law's squishy automatic bimmer, I am trying to help her get better service. She's been screwed by both The Driving Machine in Cupertino and I suspect is being screwed by Allison BMW of Mtn View.
Where's good places to get a BMW serviced?

Edge Motorworks is a very highly regarded performance shop but it's in Dublin. It's a trek, but would be worth it for big repairs like the infamous vanos failure.
DON'T go to "Palo Alto Bimmer" on Alma in downtown Palo Alto.

Great shop, one of my old co-workers used to work there then moved back. If Ralph is working on it, he knows his ****.
Dont every go to Dinan, rip-offs and have had a lot of customers come to me angry over poor work and high prices.
If your in the Sunnyvale area you could bring it to my shop, European AutoWerks. Off mathilda in Sunnyvale, near the 101. Its a all European shop but I'm the BMW/Mercedes/Porsche specialist. Feel free to give us a call (408)737-2200.

W.S.Auto in Campbell. It's a small shop. The owner is the BMW enthusiast and also track/race BMWs. He's not cheap though (cheaper than a dealer anyway) but good! http://www.yelp.com/biz/w-s-auto-con...irs-campbell-2 .
I have a friend who recently had a bad experience with Dinan in Mountain View. They tried to rip him off for something that his car didn't need. He posted his review on Yelp and was contacted by the Dinan's supervisor who said that he was hurting their business and asked to remove his negative review.
