i sold my bike years ago because of this kinda thing. i was run off the road 5or 6 times. the last time i was nearly decapitated by a barb wire fence. ive been a witness at a vehicular manslaughter trial for some dumb ***** that bent down to pick up her phone she dropped and veered into oncoming traffic, killing my friend right in front of me.

the reason bikes split lanes in stopped traffic is because if you are at a stop and get rear ended your toast.

that being said, this guy did it all wrong. you wait for the light to turn and give their rearview a hammer fist and then speed off.

 

Sorry for your loss Shane. It Sucks so much to loose a friend, I cant even begin to imagine what its like to witness the killing of a friend that way.

 

Thanks man. It was 7 yeara ago this june. The chick pled not guilty citing a mechanical failure. They couldnt find anything wrong with her car and two other people and i were close enough to see that she was bent over reaching for something and not even looking at the road.

 

Did they find her guilty? what kind of punishment did she get? Good stuff other witnesses.
I sold my R1 after my wife begged me to. She didnt want me to end up like some of my other friends. As she put it, "its not you im worried about its the Dip Shts that dont pay attention in their cars that i worry about"

I miss the hell out of my Bike and want to get another one bad but she and i made a deal and i have an STI now. :-)

 

Also if the bike is air-cooled. If I have my full leathers on, I'd hate to sit still under the hot sun too.

 

SO SO TRUE!!! when i ride my pops Harley i don't play that sitting still BS. Have to keep that hog moving. Built Hog motors are not fond of sitting in traffic or just sitting for extended periods of time while running.

 

Shti's weak. That is one CRAZY beotch. I ALWAYS move the the far side of the lane, or even onto the shoulder (out of their way), when I see a biker splitting lanes behind me and they usually give me the peace sign as they cruise through. Hell, I even do it when we're cruising at 65mph and they approach from behind.

I really like bikes and have always wanted one but I also see the retarded shti people do in their cars and don't want to jeopardize my life because some idiot was bending down to pick up some crap off the floor of their 4,000 lb + vehicle.
